Dad said, "Conri, I know you want to protect her, but she is a highly trained warrior. She will not be sidelined. It doesn't matter how much you try. She does, however, have other ways to fight, besides getting right in the middle of it. She would be a huge asset to your warriors. She knows fighting styles that most packs don't even think of training in. Plus, her mother developed a fighting style that can disable a whole army, without killing them. Conri said, "How can I keep her safe if I can't keep her from fighting?" Dad chuckled and said, "You can't. All you can do is stay close to her in the fight. Like you did last night. You were really good at fighting and keeping her safe at the same time. If you are afraid that you can't do that in a particular battle, ask her to use her magic instead of fighting.
