CXIX. Defeated By You
Grant has finally shown off his power. The terror that has already troubled the other shops and the hopefuls. Oneil can only stay inside his car, sighing at the lengths that Grant can enforce to do what he wants. Concern blares through his face as he tries to look closely at the different world going on behind the glass walls of Leal Vetement. Essi and Geovensia must have known by now what kind of chess piece Grant had moved. Will this make them feel like their dreams are walled away from success? Will this make Essi hate him?
“Are you worried for them sir?” Jillian asked while observing the man. Perhaps, if she didn’t showcase her driving talent, Oneil would never get her to accompany him in his other purposes. Jillian has come this far like Victor had, becoming an immediate driver for their boss.

Oneil was worried that Essi was staying too long in Mansha's place. He kept on trying to contact her but she was not responding. The Grand Runway Opening is fast approaching. Geovensia is taking all the pavements just to increase the number of confirmed guests in the list. She intended to invite other fashionistas, some of them are even icons of Parisian couture, and sought for the known investors enthusiastic in the fashion industry. But she could barely make the minimum. The Leal Vêtement has already secured three confirmed guests but they have to approach others more."Who would have thought that Mansha would teach us to not take the shortcut?" Geovensia keeps on reminding herself that if they will go through this process, they will appreciate all the keys and holes that are always around to lead them to the better doors of opportunities. Geovensia is learning now how to reach out to key peoples. It is easy to make friends but to secure their time for the grand runway is another. Presenting to them what they could expect on the runway is a new principle she learned recently.

Like an unforgettable habit, the Old Mercator went out talking with the chief of the Antareses. Leal Vetement is getting it right in preparing the fashion runway. They almost got it all. They got the production elements and even the big screens at the sides to show off different angles. Geovensia has now her bespoke models committed to their calling and have already perfected their moves among their rehearsals. She got freelancers with their professional performances to govern the main and backstage. She also has lighting and technical personnel for the overall system. She turned around and saw Essi and Victor coming in. Geovensia immediately met them halfway and hugged them. Her friend, on the other hand, looked around the Paulsson Pavilion.“It is only now that I realized how beautiful this place is.” She can barely remember who was the brilliant architect who designed this in the mid-70s.
