SASHA’S POV

I stared at the text in disbelief. Sasha had sent me a message that felt surreal.

"Adeline, let's put everything behind us. I really want to apologize for everything that has happened.

Can you come over? Let's talk. Also, Father has been asking for you. He really misses you."

The past few days have been testing. Finding out she was not pregnant had been bittersweet. My private investigator had paid the doctor who prepared the results triple the original price to get the news.

It amused me to see the lengths Sasha would go to keep Xander, but I couldn't be bothered about what they did. It served its purpose, though.

I had texted Sasha that day after I got the information. "Meet me in an hour if you don't want your biggest secret out."
