03 He forced a kiss on me

At the elevator entrance, Bruno came to a halt. Lizzie, who had been looking down, didn't notice him stopping and bumped into his back. "Ouch!"

"Is there money on the ground for you to pick up?" Bruno turned around and asked her, having seen her following him closely with her head down since they turned the corner.

Lizzie pouted, "Well, why did you stop all of a sudden?" She retorted.

Bruno stepped back, stood beside her, and stretched out his long arm to pull her into his embrace. "How about this?"

"There are many people watching. Can't you be more gentlemanly?" Lizzie tried to pull his hand away but couldn't. She glared at him, annoyed.

"You're my wife; what's the problem?" Although Bruno said this, Lizzie didn't feel that way at all.

Just then, the elevator doors opened, and Lizzie didn't say anything more, allowing him to hold her as they entered the elevator.

The hotel manager who walked out of the elevator had a smile on his face and gave them an ambiguous look, nodding slightly. Before the elevator doors closed, Bruno caught a glimpse of the steward standing in the corner, his smile cold and chilling.

Inside the elevator, it was just the two of them. Lizzie looked up at him, and his expressionless face, viewed from the side, made his striking features even more captivating. He was quite handsome, if only his temper were better.

As Bruno turned his head, he met her gaze directly. "Seen enough?" He asked indifferently.

Lizzie hurriedly looked away, staring at the side.

"Since you want to look at me, why sneak around?" With that, he reached out, pinched her chin, and locked eyes with her, not giving her a chance to escape.

"Who's looking at you? Don't flatter yourself." Lizzie turned her face away, refusing to look at him.

Bruno chuckled, and before she could react, he pressed his lips onto her soft, pink ones.

"Mmm..." Lizzie struggled, her small hands clenched into fists, pounding his chest.

After a long while, he let her go, and Lizzie reflexively slapped his face.

The sound of the slap echoed loudly in the confined space of the elevator.

"Weren't you just as lost in the moment? Can you say you don't like me kissing you?" Bruno didn't care about the slap, as if it were expected.

Lizzie stepped back, wiping her lips with the back of her hand. Lost in the moment? Hardly! He had forced himself on her!

"Lizzie, do you think you can wipe it off like this?" Bruno approached her.

With a ding, the elevator finally stopped at the top floor. Lizzie moved to the door, and as soon as it opened, she quickly ran out and into the room.

Bruno leisurely followed her in, finding Lizzie sitting on the couch with her back to him. He didn't bother looking at her, instead heading to another room, opening his laptop, and starting work.

Lizzie looked up and glanced at the slightly ajar door, hearing his voice as he discussed business matters. It seemed he was genuinely busy.

Since he is so busy, let me make a suggestion. He should be able to pass easily, right?.

With this thought, Lizzie's mood suddenly improved. She stood up, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, and felt something underfoot as she stood there. Moving her foot, she saw the necklace he had thrown away, bent down to pick it up, and held it in her hand.

Looking at the diamond ring on her ring finger, she wondered whether she still needed to keep the necklace since they were married. Perhaps it no longer held any meaning.

"What are you thinking about?" Bruno's voice suddenly appeared behind her.

Lizzie turned around, only to see his handsome face close at hand. She took a step back and her head unexpectedly bumped into the glass window.

"Are you afraid of me?" Bruno propped one hand on the glass window and one against the wall, trapping Lizzie in front of him.

Lizzie tightly gripped the necklace in her hand and shook her head, "It's you who scared me by appearing out of nowhere."

Anyone would be startled by someone appearing silently out of nowhere.

"So, it's my fault?" Bruno raised his handsome eyebrows and asked her.

"That's what you said, not me." Lizzie mustered all her strength to push him away. If she continued to face him like this, she would definitely suffocate.

Bruno sat down on the sofa and saw Lizzie sitting far away from him on the edge of the bed, not even willing to look at him.

There was no sound in the spacious room, except for the somewhat stiff atmosphere spreading between the two.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang several times. Bruno leaned calmly on the sofa, showing no intention of opening the door.

"I'll get the door." Lizzie walked to the door, but as soon as her hand touched the doorknob, it was grasped by a large hand.

Bruno extended his long arm, hooked her waist, and pulled her into his arms, the two bodies closely against each other.

"What are you doing? Let me go!" Lizzie was confused, her small body struggling incessantly, trying to get as far away from him as possible, but she was no match for his strength.

Bruno twisted the knob and opened the door.

"Master, Madam, your meal." A servant stood at the door with a trolley, on which were two steaks and a bottle of red wine.

Bruno nodded, "Hmm, bring it in." He didn't order any meal, of course, neither did Lizzie.

Lizzie looked up at Bruno, then at the meal in front of her, she didn't know when he had ordered the meal.

Bruno took out several hundred-dollar bills from his wallet and handed them to him, "Out!"

"Thank you, Master." The servant left the room and closed the door again.

The moment the door closed, Bruno let go of Lizzie, a cold smile appearing at the corner of his mouth.

The old man had gone back, but still sent someone to supervise them.

Lizzie looked at him with some confusion.

Bruno sat down on the sofa, lit a cigarette, leisurely smoked, and his sharp eyes didn't even look at the steak in front of him. He then picked up the phone and dialed a number, "Steward, prepare the car for me."

"Are you going out?" Lizzie looked at him and asked softly.

Bruno stood up, glanced at Lizzie indifferently, didn't answer her, picked up the suit jacket hanging on the sofa, and prepared to leave.

"Wait," Lizzie called him, "you haven't had lunch yet."

"You eat!" Bruno stood at the door, said without turning his head, then opened the door and walked out of the room.

Lizzie watched the door close automatically, sighed, and looked at the meal in front of her, "Why order two if you're not eating, what a waste." Although she didn't like steak, she was really hungry now.

Bruno went downstairs, and the steward sat in the black Bentley, "Master, where do you want to go now?" He said, got out of the car, and opened the back door.

"I can drive myself." Bruno stood next to the car.

"Master, let me accompany you!" The steward looked at him, handed him the car keys, but still said.

Bruno looked at the car keys in his hand, then at the anxious steward, "Alright!" He handed the keys back to the steward and got into the back seat.

The black car drove away from the hotel, disappearing on the long road.

Lizzie spent the entire afternoon alone on the single sofa. The TV was on, but she didn't take in anything. Until dusk, Bruno still hadn't returned. She squinted her eyes feeling a little sleepy.

Bruno had been in a meeting at the branch office all afternoon. When he returned to the hotel, it was already dark. The steward parked the car in front of the hotel, "Master."

"You go park the car! I'm going up." Bruno coldly said, opened the car door, got out of the car, and walked into the rotating front door of the hotel.
