 100: She Favors a Stranger Over Her Own Daughter

Louise was driving Lizzie home to her villa. "Louise, thank you for taking me home."

"Lizzie, listen, ever since you got married, I feel like you've been distancing yourself from me. Always thanking me for this and that. Aren't we best friends?" Louise said, shaking her head in exasperation.

"Alright, alright, I understand. I'll try not to act too formal around you." Lizzie responded, giving Louise a smile.

Louise finally nodded in satisfaction. "That's more like it. Now, go on home. I'll be heading back."

"Okay, drive safe." Lizzie waved as Louise's car faded into the distance. Afterwards, she rang the doorbell.

The butler opened the door. "Miss, you're back. The young master just returned home not too long ago."

Lizzie paused for a moment at the news. So he was back.

In the living room, Bruno was sitting on the couch, looking as if he'd been waiting for her. Seeing him, Lizzie said, "Oh, you're back." and gave him a slight smile.
