22 I don't need your sympathy

Bruno closed in on her, step by step. "As long as you comply and remain my wife, Jiang Enterprises will continue as before. However, you must uphold your responsibilities. Understand?"

"What responsibilities do I have left?" Lizzie leaned weakly against the door, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"You'll find out. And don't use your tears to gain my sympathy." Seeing her in this state, Bruno gripped her chin tightly.

Lizzie looked at him and gave a cold laugh. "I don't need your pity." She shoved his hand away and pushed him back. A wave of dizziness washed over her, and she collapsed on the floor, unconscious.

Bruno lifted her up, feeling an unusual heat from her body. He carried her into the bedroom and laid her on the large bed. Seeing her in this state, he should have been pleased. Yet, there was no joy in his heart.

He pulled a silk quilt over her frail body and took out his phone. "Lycan, get Dr. Lee to my apartment. Now," he ordered sternly.
