I woke up much later with a splitting head. My neck hurt badly, and I realized she had dislocated our necks. I stood up gently and turned to find Solomon. He was leaning against a wall, probably waiting for me to wake. When I moved, he leaned off the wall and walked to me. He squatted and faced me.

"What was that all about?" he asked.

I massaged my forehead with my fingers. My head still pounded slowly, and I winced once to acknowledge the pain.

"I do not know, brother," I replied. "But I feel many people do not like us anymore."

"We are monsters, Desmond. What did you expect?" He asked rhetorically.

I looked at him, clearly not happy with the statement. We were not turned to this willingly. We had been forced to be turned into the monsters that we were today.

"You know it was not our fault," I pointed out.

Solomon bit his lower lip and looked away. It looked like he was hiding something. I reached into his head, and he blocked me out. Something was definitely wrong.
