DINNER WITH THE WALLANCES#40

I sat back on the couch with Hope, but we didn't talk. We just watched a programme on television. The program was about a boy who was an alien and had lived on Earth for more than four hundred years. The boy didn't like the girl at first, but after some experiences with each other, they got close, and he fell for her.

The girl confessed her feelings to him, but he told her he couldn't be with her because he was dangerous; when she asked him why, he confessed to her that he was an alien, an impostor on Earth. He showed her his true form, and she still didn't want to leave him. He finally accepted her, and they began dating.

The program was ironic because it described the situation Hope and I were in right now. I couldn't be with her because I was dangerous. She had never seen the lousy vampire side of me before. I was sure if she did, she would run away and never look back. It was better to hurt her now than to accept her now and hurt her more later.
