CHAPTER 2: A Safe Haven

Sofia quietly followed Dave as he led her to the car.

“Please where are we going? And where is your boss?” Sofia asked in a calm voice

Dave looked at her and said “I'm taking you to find shelter.” immediately Sofia smiled and entered the car.

After a 30-minute drive, Sofia arrived at Spencer's House and was led into the house by some guards.

Sofia’s jaw dropped at the entrance of the house and whispered to herself “OMG, this is heaven. I've never been to such a mansion in my whole existence.” while thinking out loud she heard a footstep behind her and immediately she turned with a smiling face and said;

“Thank you so much Mr for bringing me here, I've never seen such a mansion before only in……..”

Immediately Spencer rudely interrupted her saying “Don't feel too comfortable in my home and make sure I don't see you here tomorrow.” then he left to his room.

“Why is he so rude and mean but yet handsome.” immediately a voice interrupted her saying “Please let me show you to your room ma’am.”

Sofia followed the lady and was shown to a room Sofia said, “OH MY GOD!!! Is this my room?” with surprise on her face.

“Yes ma'am this is your room and please let me know if you need anything.” the lady turned to leave when Sofia stopped her saying “Please what's your name?”

The lady looked at Sofia with a smile and said, “My name is Mary, and I'm the housekeeper.”

“Hi Mary, I'm Sofia, and please I'm starving,” Sophia said with a grin on her face. And Mary responded by saying “I will get a meal for you Ms Sofia.” and she left.

While Sofia was staring at the room and lost in her thoughts, a knock on the door brought her back to reality and she immediately jumped up to open the door and saw Mary with a large tray filled with food, fruits, and snacks. She gave Mary a wide smile and said “Thank you so much.” then Mary left and she closed the door and began eating.

“This food tastes so sweet that I don't mind licking my fingers and asking for me,” she said to herself while eating. Immediately after she was done eating she went to the bathroom, showered, and got prepared for bed.

At 4 a.m., Sofia stood up from the bed feeling thirsty and decided to go downstairs to get water. On her way to the kitchen, she bumped into Spencer sitting on the dining table with a glass of wine. Immediately his gaze fell on her, he asked with a cold tone and a straight face “Are you spying on me?”

She immediately nodded saying “No…no, I'm not, I.. I was thirsty so I came to get some water, I'm sorry to bump into you.” he stared at her and left for his room without saying a word again.

Sofia got the water in the fridge and hurriedly went to her room to sleep.

It was morning and Sofia was already up and preparing herself to leave the house and go for the job offer that brought her to the city.

She went downstairs to have her breakfast and told Mary that she was leaving and hopefully, she would get the job and start her life in the city. Mary then said to her smiling “Take this envelope, the boss asked me to give you when you are leaving and I wish you all the luck you need.”

“Thank you so much, Mary, your wish means a lot to me,” Sofia said with a wide smile.

“You're welcome Ms Sofia,” Mary said.

“Can I ask you a question, Mary?” Sofia said

“Yes, of course,” Mary said, smiling.

“Why is your boss not friendly?” Sofia asked

Immediately Mary smiled saying “I can't answer that because I don't know.”

Sofia finished her breakfast, waved Mary goodbye, and left the mansion. She got a cab and headed straight to the address on the job offer letter.

On her arrival, she went into the building and met some people there who were murmuring and not looking happy. She walked up to a lady who was almost in tears and asked “Please what's going on here? I was offered a job and this is the address, but I don't understand what's going on.”

The lady looked at her and said “The owners of the company scammed us all here by collecting our money and and ran away.”

Devastated Sofia left the building crying and walking on the street without paying attention to anyone or anything. Due to the heartbreak Sofia was facing, she couldn't concentrate while crossing the road and unfortunately, she got hit by a car.

A lot of people surrounded the accident scene and everyone began to murmur and wonder if she would be fine.

“What was that?” Spencer asked while Dave rushed out of the car to check. Immediately he saw Sofia on the floor looking lifeless.

“Oh my goodness is she dead?” a lady said as people began to gather at the scene. Immediately Dave picked Sofia up and rushed her to the hospital.

On their arrival at the hospital, the nurses rushed toward Dave and placed Sofia on a stretcher, they took her to the emergency ward and began treatment on her.

“Hello sir, please you need to fill out a form if you are her guardian.” a nurse said to Mr.Dave and he nodded saying “Sorry, but I'm not her guardian, I brought her to the hospital, and I don't think she has anyone in the city.”

“That's not a problem sir you can fill out the form and sign if you will be paying for her bills.” The nurse responded and with no hesitation, he collected the form and filled it.

Some minutes later, the doctor came out of the emergency room and Said to Mr. Dave, “She is fine now but unconscious due to the shock, but you are free to go see her.”

“Okay Doctor, thank you.” Mr Dave said and went to the room where Sofia was lying down.

After seeing the state at which Sofia was, Mr. Dave picked up his phone and called Spencer to inform him about Sofia’s health.

Spencer’s POV

“How could she run into my car carelessly? That's a reward for anyone who tries to stalk me or spy on me. There is something strange about her but anyway I don’t care.” Spencer thought to himself as he sat on the balcony sipping his glass of wine. Immediately Dave’s call interrupted him as he picked up the call saying

“What is it, Dave? I hope she’s awake now?”

“No sir, she is fine but unconscious due to shock,” Dave said to his boss on the phone.

“Okay, keep an eye on her till she wakes up, pay her off, and tell her never to cross paths with me again,” Spencer said to his bodyguard Dave in an aggressive tone.

“Yes sir, I will do as you say,” Dave answered and immediately the call ended.

Spencer took a sip of his wine and headed to a private clubhouse to cool off the day.

On his arrival, Spencer’s bodyguard Bruno went to the bar to make an order for his boss.

“Welcome sir, please what may I offer you?” The bartender said in a calm voice.

“Get me my boss’s usual,” Bruno said in a deep voice.

“On it sir.” The bartender said.

“Another thing, my boss needs the stripper, I can’t remember her name, but she is average and light-skinned with long hair,” Bruno said

“Oh You mean Abby, I will send for her right away.” The bartender said and immediately she picked up and gave Abby a phone call asking her to come to the bar.

While the Bartender was making Spencer’s drink, Abby came in wearing a sexy dress and a smile on her face.

“You sent for me Bruno,” Abby said with a smile on her face.

“My boss wants you tonight,” Bruno said.

“Uhmm okay, I hope he doesn’t get distracted again,” Abby said.

“You better watch what you say because he is not in a good mood, except you want to end up in the dungeon or your head chopped off like other offenders,” Bruno said with a straight face.

“Common Bruno, you don't need to scare me like that, I was only joking,” Abby said with a sad face.

“You better follow me now,” Bruno said as he collected the glass of mixed alcohol and headed straight to his boss while Abby followed him quietly.

While they were at the door of the private suite, Bruno handed the glass of wine to Abby and left.

Abby got to the private room with a drink in hand and found Spencer sitting on the couch with a lit cigar in hand.

“I heard you ordered a drink and a side snack," Abby said, handing him the drink and leaning seductively toward his face.

With the sensual music playing Abby moves her waist to the melody of the song, she takes off her shirt to reveal a silk-red bra, massaging her extremely oily body, she sits on Spencer, grinding her body against his flowing to the sound of the music, the tension is building, she takes off her bra showing off her perky breasts standing firm and pointing towards him, she shakes her upper body almost in slow motion moving her breasts side to side, while still on his laps, she maneuvers her miniskirt off, total naked she whispered in his ears "take me, I'm all yours".
