Clarice initially received a notice from Luna, thinking that he would return for dinner, so she prepared many dishes to wait for him. As a result, when she was waiting on the sofa, she accidentally fell asleep because she was very tired from the pregnancy. When Nicholas returned home, he saw Clarice lying on the sofa, deeply asleep. He slowed down and walked to her side, crouching down.

His gaze fell gently on her peacefully sleeping face. She was sleeping, and her breathing was regular. She looked gentle and calm, her beautiful large eyes now closing softly, and her long eyelashes covered her lower eyelids. In the light's reflection, they formed a curved shadow, like the wings of a butterfly. Her closed lips still had a trace of stubbornness that belonged exclusively to her. Her lips were rosy and rich, like unpicked peach blossoms on a tree. They were tempting and delicious.

He reached out and used his slender fingers to gently push aside the messy hair on her forehead. The tips o
