Aden's POV

Katrina was livened by our little talk. It wasn't a shock that Katrina kissed me, at this point, I understood that she needed a shoulder to lean on and she was only pretending to be fine.

The love Alpha Carl had for his daughter Katrina was great. I heard from Uncle Tim that Alpha Carl found his mate late. Having Katrina after living nearly two centuries old was a hard fate he had to put up with coupled with having a mate that didn't want him even after waiting so long to find her.

After Katrina's revelation, I came to understand that Alpha Carl could only survive such a heartbreak because he channelled his love and attention to his only child—Katrina. No wonder he loved what she loved, he showered her with so much love and he never wanted her to take risks because to him she was his one true love.
