Aurora Part 4

I stood there, stunned and unsure of what to do next. Part of me wanted to run away from him, to forget about the dangerous and alluring demon that stood before me. But another part of me was drawn to him, like a moth to a flame.

I knew that I should leave, but I couldn't bring myself to move. He must have sensed my hesitation because he reached for me again. "I said get out of here," he growled, but there was a hint of desperation in his voice as if he didn't really want me to go.

I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch, feeling a strange sense of comfort in his rough fingers against my skin. "I don't want to leave," I whispered. "I want to help you."

He let out a bitter laugh. "Help me?" he repeated. "I don't need help. I'm a demon, remember?"

"And I am a dragon. We aren't all that different," I said.
