My mind couldn't process what Cresil was saying. My brothers? How could that be possible? I had grown up with them, thinking we were just cousins.

“What? How would you know that?” I asked.

Cresil's expression turned serious. "I have my ways of finding out information," he said cryptically. "But more importantly, you need to understand that this doesn't change anything. You and your brothers are still family, and you still love each other just as much as before."

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing thoughts. "I know that," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "It's just a lot to take in."

Cresil nodded. "I know it is. But I kept the end of my bargain and told you the secret. What you want to do with it is up to you.”

I need to talk to my mother, I thought you myself.

Cresil seemed to sense my thoughts. "It would be a good idea to confront your mother about this.

Taking a deep breath, I got up from the bed. “Take me back to my house.”
