Sometimes in life, in order to show who is in power, one has to take actions. When Alpha Dane came to meet me, I was watching Emily, who had rushed to get food for him. Goddess, I hated her so much. I was contemplating going and dragging her to the ground, pulling her hair and slapping her or kicking her. Not in that order. Or maybe leave the party and feel less miserable. But then Dane came and interrupted my thoughts.

I was a little surprised when he invited me to have lunch with him at a lunch party. It was as if he had come to rescue me. Ilene’s protest didn’t stop him. Emily practically ran towards us, shouting his name. Others gasped. But he held my hand and took me with him. Like a hero, he rescued me from the foolish party. I was falling in love with him every day.
