Isabella's Point Of View.

It's been a week since I got back to Jules' house with Jameson and Beth, and things haven't been going well between Marcus and me. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that something is off between Jules and Marcus.

Seated on a green, round couch outside the house and lot in thought, Jules's voice interrupted me.

“Bored?”

I looked up at her and glared, throwing my stare at the innocent flowers across the corner of the house. She sat beside me.

“What is it you want, Jules?”

“Haven't I made that clear enough?”

My brows pinched, and I turned to her, our gazes locked, and a grin marred her face.

“What do you mean? What are you talking about?”

“You should know by now.” She rose and crossed her hands against her chest. “You would rather not mess around me, Isabella.”

The rage and pain in my heart grew intense, and I could hardly stop my fist from finding its way to her face, so I got up and walked back into the house.

“She sure knows how to get my attention.”
