Alex's Point Of View.

I had woken up early in the morning, before Sarah got up and drove to Sandro's hideout. I packed the car a few miles away from his hideout and walked to the front of his place.

About six guards were guarding the front door.

“I'm here to see Sandro.”

“He's not up yet. I'm afraid you will have to wait a while for him, or you come back.” One of the guards responded, his eyes narrowed with a smirk.

“He asked me to be here early, besides, this isn't my first time coming here. Why won't you let me in?”

“Do as you were told, young man. You have to wait for him.” Another said.

A deep sigh escaped my lips and I walked back to the car and sat in it for a while. My mind drifted off to Sarah; how she was holding up and how she would feel about all of this – me using my mate to ascend the throne.

A knock on the window cut through my thoughts, it was one of the guards, and I winded down the window.

“You can come in now.” He said and turned away like someone who was being contro
