The Wrong Side

Isabella's POV.

“Beth?” I roared, but she stood still, her piercing golden eyes staring at me uncomfortably.

Confused and left with nothing to do, I decided to approach, but she didn't move a muscle. I should have been able to pick her scent from where I was, but there was no scent, I heard a thud behind me and I looked back. Seeing it was a deer, I turned back to Beth, but she was gone.

“What's going on, Beth?” I thought and approached where she was standing.

Still, there was no scent of her, which was very strange because I scented her yesterday when I was with Marcus.

“Could it be that I was only hallucinating?”

I let out a loud roar in the depths of the woods and went home, it was enough for the beginning of the day.

When I got home, I walked straight into my room and was able to get a nap. I woke up to a knock on the door. Sitting up, I picked a familiar and an unfamiliar scent; it was Alex and Alpha Sarah.

“Isabella, are you in there?” Alpha Sarah asked.
