52. "Innocent Captive"

Olive’s POV

Ever since my grandmother lost her ability to shift into her wolf form, she got sick and reduced to a frail and helpless state.

I knew that I had to be there for her. Thus, I made it my mission to take care of her and ensure that she was never alone. Just like what she did to me when I was young.

Therefore, Vincent and I got into that accident. I knew that things were going to change. I took the blame for his crime, hoping that he would repay me by taking care of my grandmother. She needed someone to look after her, someone who could provide the support and care that she needed to survive.

But that man, that bastard, he left my grandma alone!

“Grandma! Open your eyes! Grandma!” I cried out loud.

Inside a cluttered and dimly lit small house, my heart sank at the sight of my frail grandmother lying on the floor. Her thin figure spoke volumes as if she had been deprived of nourishment for days on end.

"Please, Grandma. Look at me. I've returned, so please..."
