Aliyah POV

"Aliyah, be calm. Don't worry about that," he stood up.

"But..." I stuttered.

"Sweetheart, I'll take care of that," he said as he placed his hands on my shoulder.

"Really?" I asked, as I breathed unsteadily.

"Sure. Everything will be fine. Kelan will be out before nightfall tomorrow," his face broke into a smile, a genuine one, and I believed him.

"Okay," I nodded.

"Now come here. I've really missed you my dearest Aliyah," he said as he pulled me in for a hug.

"Dad, I've missed you more," I said in a teary voice as I delivered soft punches on his back.

“How about we have dinner first, and you tell me about everything I’ve missed later at night?” he suggested.

“That’s fine by me, Dad.”

“Alright. Chop chop,” He clapped his hands like a gesture to the men in the kitchen, and the aroma of whatever they started dishing out called out to me. I was famished.
