CHAPTER 20: A BIG PROBLEM

Immediately the door went shut, my eyes came in contact with Bree's. She was cradled up in my husband's arms, crying profusely. We all knew how badly behaved she was, we hoped and prayed that she would change but it felt like we were being punished for something we don't know.

She released herself from Carlos' arms and ran straight to me. Her eyes were puffy and red, she was in a very pitiful state and I could only wrap her face in my wrinkled hands.

“What did he say mother? How is he? Does he want to see me?” She attempted to go into his room but I restricted her from moving forward.

“To be clear Bree, Alexander doesn't like you. Not even to the way you think, he doesn't have an iota of feelings for you.”
