Chapter Forty

"No, I'm not." She raised her fingers, which were absent of a wedding ring, embarrassment immediately hovered over his face.

"I'm really sorry, ma'am. I just thought that since…." She raised her hand shutting her hand.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of it from here. Thanks for calling." She added Looking at him, she knew he came here immediately after their little argument at home.

Taking his cell phone and putting it in her purse, she tried to raise him but he was damn heavy. What was she thinking, walking him to the car all by herself?

She immediately beckoned on the bartender,

"Please, I need help with taking him to the car." She says with pleading eyes. The bartender sighs, then comes to help her out with him.

After successfully, taking him to the car, she turned to the bartender.

"Thanks for tonight " She hands him a few notes, and his once grumpy face immediately switched into a wide smile.

"Thanks, a lot ma'am, have a safe drive." He says.

"You're welcome," she smiled, watching
