Chapter thirty-nine

The evening breeze blew, westwards caressing and calming his nerves, Lola stood by the door watching him, she sighs then says.

"Hey?" She called, he turned to her.

"What is the problem this time?" He snapped.

She looked around the garden, it's beauty captivated her, she almost forgot what she came to do, And that was to talk to Adriel.

"I want us to talk. We haven't been able to have a decent conversation without us daring at each other's neck." She began, walking up front to him.

"And you're saying this now because…?"

"Because I don't want us to fight again." " It's choking and exhausting to do at the same time." She whined, he looked at her, then let out a loud scoff.

"It's exhausting and choking? That's a bit of it, Lola. I'm going to make you regret this stupid thing called marriage." The sly look on his face gave her shivers, there were no words to say to him, she stood there locked in his gaze, her eyes soon mist
