Chapter Thirty-four

The house was quiet as usual, Lola gently walked in and she closed the door behind her, she looked around, it was dead silent. Gone are those days when Camille walked out from the kitchen and asked her how her day went, which they did gist about all evening.

But this particular evening, she was alone. She threw her bag on the couch and sat on the chair as she took off her heels, she fell back on the chair, sighing deeply.

"Lola,?" She called herself, at that point she felt thirsty and needed a drink at least. She stood up heading to the kitchen, opened up the fridge and grabbed a chilled bottle of water, poured it into her glass, and returned the bottle to the fridge, closing it as she took a long gulp of its contents.

Her doorbell rang, her eyes diverted to the door.

"Who could it be?" Her curiosity shoots up, and with the glass in her hand, she walks towards the door, gently turns the door knob, opening the door. Adriel stood there looking
