"You're wearing that outfit again," Haxilla said as I walked out to my room.

"What?! Today is my actual interview," I said and sat down for breakfast.

Britanny was preparing the food on the table, and my brow furrowed when I noticed a cake that was unusual on our breakfast table.

"Why are we having a cake? Today is none of our birthdays."

"That's our good luck gift for you," Britanny said, smiling as she sat down.

I'm not sure what happened, but my heart began to skip a beat.

"Thank you for being so sweet." I was about to hug them when they backed away.

I came to a halt and gave them a cold stare. They didn't love me, hmp! I sat down in my chair with a betrayed expression on my face.

"Sel, don't be so clingy. That's not for you, you're too old for that," with a disgusted expression on her face, Haxilla said.

"You just don't care about me," I explained.

I eat a large piece of cake and a hotdog. They both laughed at me, but I was unconcerned about it.

"Selena Formosus, don't be so dramatic. It doesn't work for you any longer, "Britanny said this while sipping her coffee.

I just continued to eat my cake while rolling my eyes at her.

"Are you sure you can go to the interview right now? Your fever has caused you to pass out three times in the last few days."

I continued eating as if I hadn't heard anything from Haxilla. I'm just trying to make them poke fun.

"Sel, Haxilla has questioned you."

I continued to ignore them.

When Haxilla smacked the table, my entire body flicnhed, and I unintentionally tossed my cake to the floor.

"I'm not joking anymore, Sel," Haxilla declared, her voice solemn.

I raised my hands and stared at her, terrified.

"Please relax, okay? I'm joking, of course." I sat down and took a deep breath. "You don't have to be concerned; I'm fine now."

I put my earbuds on and played random music while driving my car.

And then the cold came, the dark days

When fear crept into my mind

You gave me all your love and all I gave you was goodbye

So this is me swallowin' my pride

Standin' in front of you sayin' I'm sorry for that night

And I go back to December all the time

It turns out freedom ain't nothin' but missin' you

Wishin' I'd realized what I had when you were mine

I'd go back to December, turn around and change my own mind

I go back to December all the time

While driving, I remembered my previous dream and touched the spot on my back where the knife had stabbed me.

I haven't been able to recall the man's face with whom I'm conversing until now.

All I remember is being so enamored with him that I could trust him in that way.

When the traffic light turned red, I came to a complete stop.

My gaze is drawn to everyone who is crossing the road. When I saw Raven cross the road, my hands were about to wave, but I came to a halt when a girl turned her face almost in my direction.

"Haxilla?" I wondered aloud.

A driver yells at me, "Hey, you're blocking the way!"

When I noticed the traffic light was already green, my hands started the car right away.

Why is she in Raven's company?

Is there a chance they'll get back together?

Because my mind was clouded with questions, I almost lost focus on my driving and nearly collided with the back of another vehicle.

Fortunately, I quickly regain my composure and avoid the accident.

Something went wrong with the man's car, which is why he pulled over in the middle of the road.

Perhaps there are some issues with engene.

"Hello, do you require assistance?" As I stepped out of my car, I inquired.

When I realized who he was, my eyes widened. He's one of the three people who went to the Silvenia Company the other week.

"Oh, hey, ahm yeah, my car just stopped for no apparent reason," he said shyly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Shems, he's so adorable.

I walked up to the front of his car and examined what was most likely the issue.

"Do you know how to fix it?" he inquired, perplexed.

While attempting to repair the wires inside his car's hood, I shook my head. I believe that with some connecting and tying, it will be good once more.

When his expression changed, I laughed a little and said, "I'm just using my stock knowledge from what my uncle does when his car stopped before."

"Wait, you have no idea what you're doing?" he worriedly asked.

"Yes," I replied. When I connect two wires, the car engine starts up.

"Do you have any tape?" I added. He then dashed inside his car and handed me an electrical tape.

I taped the two wires and closed the hood.

"That's probably a temporary fix; it's best if you get that to a car repair shop," I said as attempting to got back into my car.

He abruptly grabbed my arms and finished his thoughts.

"Ahm, do you mind if I inquire as to your name?" He inquired, hesitantly.

I gave him a friendly smile and extended my palm for a handshake.

"Selena," I said, and he smiled as he accepted my hand.

"Haru."

"Hmm, it's good to meet you. I'd like to talk to you more, but I have a job interview scheduled. Goodbye," I didn't wait for him to respond before heading to Silvenia's office.

I'm not really late; it's just that I'm uncomfortable around him, geez.

Perhaps it's because I saw him with that jerk? However, he appears to be unique.

I shrugged my shoulders and returned my attention to the road.

"Hey, Selena," Haru said, and he was with the guy who almost hit me last day.

"H-Hey," I returned awkwardly.

Haru approached me, and the man did not look at me as he followed him.

He inquired, "What are you doing here?" As soon as the elevator doors opened, we entered.

I simply replied, "For my interview." His companion took a position to our back, and I became uneasy once more.

Haru may have picked up on his friend's unusual movement at this point.

"Wade, what's the matter with you? You're not like that when you're around of–aww!"" When Haru's friend Wade stamped on his feet, he exclaimed.

Wade muttered under his breath, "Shut the fuck up."

He's scary, help.

"Anyway, I'm assuming you're applying for secretary?" Haru came up with the question.

"Yes, Ms. Perfiana informed me that Mr. Jaxon would be interviewing me right now," I replied. When Haru scratched his chin and Wade laughed a little behind us, I was perplexed.

"Why? Is there anything amusing in what I've said so far?" I inquired, bewildered.

"Today, Jaxon isn't up to it–"

"What?!" When I hear what Haru has just said, I scream angrily at him.

Is there a chance that my interview will be rescheduled? No way! For God's sake, I'm tired already!

"But don't worry, it won't have an impact on your interview. That will be done for him by someone like Jaxon. Wade is that individual, in a nutshell." He acted as if it weren't a big deal.

"God, he's scarier than Mr. Jaxon," I said quietly as I rested my head against the elevator wall.

"Did you say anything?" Wade asked in baritone voice.

Why? Why I am so weak with man who had baritone voice?

Shut yourself up, Selena. You just know him minutes ago!

"Nothing," I said with a slight shake of my head.

Haru said, "Cute," but none of us paid attention to him.

I didn't even move when the elevator door opened. I lost my courage all of a sudden.

"Oh well," Haru said as he walked outside, "fate knows how to play her dolls." Wade ignored us and proceeded to somewhere else.

When Haru dragged me out to the elevator, I gasped.

"Don't be afraid of him; he'll only ask you stupid questions."

I looked at him, thinking to myself, is that even possible at the world's most prestigious company?

"I don't believe so."

Haru assisted me by pushing open a door. Wade is seated and reading my information sheet, which clearly displays my name in the front.

Haru sat on the couch, using his cellphone, while I sat in the visitor's chair.

When Wade tossed the folder and rested his back, he said, "I don't think I'm going to interview you."

My heart is racing, and my eyes have widened.

"W-why? I'm not qualified?" I inquired in the hopes of persuading him to change his mind.

He swung his chair around to face me and rested his elbows on the table.

"You're actually overqualified," Wade explained. "To be honest, Jaxon didn't care too much about your background; he's more interested in workers who are committed and do their part properly."

But I still didn't get the answer that I want.

"Therefore?" I asked.

"Therefore, you really have a big chance to be the secretary as long as you didn't break too much glasses in your life," Haru suddenly spoke.

I looked down and bite my lower lips, I didn't know that breaking glasses are one of the requirements too.

"Don't tell me, you broke too much glasses back then?" Wade asked.

"I actually do..." I answered as my voice toned down slowly in nervous and shame.

"Oh, shoot, you're critical now," Wade said and laughed.

However, I haven't recieved my desired response yet.

"How come?" I inquired.

"As a result," Haru said abruptly, "You really have a good chance to be the secretary as long as you haven't broken too many glasses in your life."

I looked down and bit my lower lip, oblivious to the fact that breaking glasses is also a requirement.

"Don't tell me you used to break a lot of glasses?" Wade enquired.

"In fact, I do..." I responded, my voice gradually lowering in nervousness and shame.

Wade laughed and said, "Oh, shoot, you're critical now."

"What's the worst that could happen?" Haru inquired inquisitively.

I told them everything that happened at my previous job, and it was clear from their expressions that I was in desperate need of employment.

"I hope Jaxon never finds out about that; he despises it when his secretaries break teacups or spill coffee on his table," Haru said as he returned to his phone.

If I had known that accident would have such a significant impact on my future, I would have been more cautious at the time.

You shattered your dreams, Selena.

We talked about a few more random topics. I've noticed that Wade is the one who doesn't say much and is also quite serious, in contrast to Haru, who is constantly laughing and telling jokes.

When the interview ended, I was about to leave the office, but Haru followed me outside.

"Do you have any plans? Like hang out, going to mall or something?" he shyly asked.

"I was about to roam the company when I decided to go straight to the house, why do you ask?"

He smiled broadly at me, which perplexed me once more.

Okay... What happened just now?

"Do you want to have a cup of coffee? Don't be concerned about my treat."

"All right," I said.

"Oh nice," he exclaimed, "so I'll meet you in Harvey's cafe nearby."

I simply nodded and walked to the parking lot to ride in my car.

"So, why did you decide to work for us?" Haru inquired as he ate his steak.

"I just feel like I'm a good fit for that company," I explained honestly.

I'm not sure why working there is my dream.

"You know what, if I were Jaxon, I'd immediately accept you."

I laughed and set my coffee down, crossing my arms and looking at him.

"Why?"

"Well, you're the whole package, so there's no need to ask." He sipped his coffee and shrugged his shoulders.

"However, my clumsiness is the issue," I joked.

"About that, I'll tell Wade not to tell Jax anything about your previous work, because I got you," he said, instantly making me blush.

"You're not required to do that."

"Nah, you earned that position."

I can't help but smile at him, but when I remember my dream, the joy turns to fear.

Is he the man who appeared and killed me in my dream?
