I'm now making my way to Mr. Jaxon's garden. I got into the elevator and pressed a button to go to the rooftop.

"You finally arrived," he said as he sipped his coffee. I drop his meal bag on the table and was about to walk away when he grabbed my wrist and pulled me back.

"What?" I inquired as I examined his hands. I furrowed my brows as he pointed to the bag containing his meal.

"Extract all of the food from the bag."

I sighed and carefully removed the foods from the bag. He's just quietly watching me as I go about my business.

"Is there anything else you want me to do? If there are none, I'll go to my office right away," I regretted asking that question when he suddenly gave me a three thick clearbooks and it's so heavy.

"Staple all of the documents that were inserted there and give them to Ms. Loer, the editor's team manager. Make certain that all of the documents you staple are connected to one another."

He began to eat his burger. I nodded and walked away with a heavy heart and heavy clearbooks, fudge!

What a shambles! I understand that if I worked in a law firm, I would handle this pile of papers, but I work for a technology company!

Rather than ranting and cursing Mr. Jaxon, I began to staple the documents he gave me.

I was in the middle of stapling when the phone rang. I put down my stapler and answered the phone.

"Good morning, this is Silvenia Technology Company. What can I do to assist you?"

[Can I speak with Jaxon Silvenia?]

"May I ask who I'm speaking with first?"

[Maxine Leviant, his half-sister.]

"I'm sorry, but Mr. Jaxon is not available right now. If you have any concerns, please let me know so I can address it to him."

[Please inform him that I need to see him at La Casa Bar on Saturday morning.]

"Can I hold this call for a moment? I need to double-check his schedule."

[Yeah, of course.]

I checked Mr. Jaxon's schedule, and it appears that he had a full schedule that day.

Why do they need to meet at a bar if they're discussing business? Oh, there's a scene like this in a movie.

"I just checked his schedule, and I'm sorry to inform you that he had a full schedule on Saturday. Do you want to make an appointment, ma'am?"

[Ah, no, just tell him what I've said and my name.]

"Okay, uhm, can I get your phone number so I can contact you once he responds?"

She gave her phone number and hung up the phone.

I set aside the papers first and went to the rooftop to look for Mr. Jaxon but he's not there. Maybe he's already in his office.

I'm waiting for an elevator when I get the feeling that someone is watching me from behind; I looked around the company's buildings but found nothing unusual.

When the elevator stopped at the 40th floor, I was fixing my blouse, and two employees rode with me. To avoid the awkwardness, I pretended to be on my phone and hid my face and ID.

"Did you see Mr. Jaxon's new secretary?" the girl inquired of her companion. I hid my face behind the papers while listening to their squabbles.

"Yes, she's beautiful and hot," the other girl replied, "but Ms. Maxine is different." I despise the word 'but,' fudge!

"Yes, but have you noticed that she is constantly outside of the company and appears to be busier than Mr. Jaxon? Her predecessors were more laid-back."

The girl raged, "She's so hardworking compared to Ms. Maxine that she almost takes the CEO position for being so bossy." I'm not sure why, but the compliments they paid me have made me feel flustered.

"She was Mr. Jaxon's girlfriend at the time, so she felt superior, but I can't imagine how she betrayed Mr. Jaxon in such a way. Well that is heartbreaking."

I'd like to hear more of what they're saying, but the elevator has already arrived at my floor. I smiled at the employees in our reflection as I removed the paper from my face.

Their surprised expression added to the suspense. I walked past them and waved until the elevator door closed.

I'm not sure who that Maxine is that they're referring to; perhaps she's extremely rude. When I remembered something, I came to a halt in my stride.

Mr. Jaxon's ex-girlfriend? Is that Maxine Leviant and the Maxine they always mention the same person? It makes sense.

"Come on in."

I entered his office and came to a halt an inch away from his desk.

"Someone named Maxine Leviant wants to see you on Saturday at La Casa bar."

He came to a halt and stared at me for a split second, which made me uneasy. He's a lunatic.

"Did you look at my schedule?" he inquired, and I nodded.

"I informed her that you have a full schedule on Saturday, but she insisted on speaking with you."

"So, what are you still doing here?" he inquired as he leaned back in his chair, which perplexed me.

"What exactly do you mean?"

"You stated that you had already informed her that I had a full schedule on that particular day. We both understand that we won't be able to cancel all of our appointments, particularly the Asuka meeting," he went on to explain.

"So you haven't been able to contact her in any way?" When I inquired, he continued to work on his laptop.

"That isn't something I need to do. She is insignificant."

"Okay, that makes sense. Now I'll return to my office," he called me again as I was about to walk away.

"Get me the employee files on the stock room before you go to the factory later. It's on a box, and the first folder you'll notice has our company's logo printed on it."

I gave him a friendly nod and walked out to his office. I screamed quietly at my desk. I'm still stapling these papers!

I rested my head on the desk, pondering why I had wished to be a part of this company previously. I'm quietly murdering myself.

When someone knocked on my door, I said, "Come in." Stiletto was walking very close to me. When she drops a new stack of papers, I leap to my feet.

"Mr. Wade would like you to look over these blueprints for the next product's design. This flash drive then contains a list of the materials required for this product. He wants you to learn about it and keep it."

She walked away after placing the flash drive on top of the stack of papers. I sat at my desk, staring at the papers. I need to finish this before it gets to five o'clock, and it's already 3:47 p.m.

"Oh, Jaxon Silvenia, how I despise you!"

As I finished all of the papers, I got up and walked over to the editors' department to hand them over. After that, I went to the stockroom to get the employee files, and I wore my hair in a messy bun and unbuttoned my blouse to allow myself to breathe freely.

I almost died from dust inhalation. When was the last time this area was thoroughly cleaned? I stacked a lot of boxes and went through the folders one by one.

"Where have you gone?" When I couldn't find the folder Mr. Jaxon was referring to, I asked myself that question.

I attempted to reach the boxes above, but one of them slipped from my grasp and fell to the ground.

I grumbled, "Another cleaning phase." All of the papers that had fallen out of the box were picked up by me.

From one of the folders, a photograph flew. I looked at it, and it's a girl with medium-length hair who is actually quite attractive.

I shrugged my shoulders and reinserted it into the folder, where I immediately noticed the employee files that Mr. Jaxon asked.

"Oh, what happened to you?" inquired an AR department employee. We met outside the stock room, and she looked me over from head to toe.

"Ah, Mr. Jaxon wants this, so he told me to find it here," I explained as I handed her the folder.

My eyes widened as she abruptly drew me somewhere. We entered the AR department and proceeded to her cubicle. When other employees looked at us, I hid my face. I'm embarrassed.

"Hey, Reina, what's the deal with Ms. Selena?"

When I turned around, I noticed Ms. Perfiana staring at us. We greeted her with a slight bow.

"Hello, Ms. Perfiana. I simply assist her in cleaning herself. She's covered in dust and dirt," she said, holding a t-shirt.

She said her goodbyes to Ms. Perfiana and dragged me to the restroom.

"Here, clean yourself and change," she said as she handed me the t-shirt. She also took the folder from my hands and pushed me into the cubicle.

I changed into a v-neck t-shirt that she had given me and tucked it into my jeans. I get out and walk straight to the sink to wash my hands and face. I also fixed my messy bun hair.

She's just standing on the side of the sink, watching my every move, which made me feel a little uneasy.

"You know what, I won't wonder why all the girls on this company are jealous of you now," she said as she handed me a towel.

"Why? What do you mean?" I inquired and applied face powder. She leaned against the sink and looked up.

"Every time you walked past one of the guys here, they never took their gaze away from you. Your name is always mentioned when they're talking to each other, and you're always on their minds," she muttered, pouting. We started walking after I got the folder from her.

"I find that creepy and strange," I replied simply.

"That's how I discovered it as well. Yesterday, a couple ended their relationship because the guy kept bringing up your name in every conversation the couple had."

My heart began to race. It's not my fault if the guys find me attractive; the worst part is when they begin to despise me for it.

"Who was the first to end the relationship?" I inquired, and her response made me more nervous.

"Me," she replied, causing me to come to a halt. She smiled at me, but I could see the pain in her eyes.

"I-I'm sorry," I say, my voice shaking. She approached me and rested her hand on my shoulder.

"I want to hate you, but my mind keeps telling me not to hurt you. It's not your fault; you were simply being yourself in the first place "Her eyes are trembling, and tears are threatening to fall from her eyes.

I squeezed her hands to comfort her, even though I was too nervous to do so.

"Let's talk tomorrow; I'd like to hear your story, all right?" I said, trying to smile at her. When she entered the AR department, she gave me a nod and we parted ways.

When Mr. Jaxon saw me enter his office, he stopped turning the pages in his book. His lips were parted and his eyes were fixed on me from head to toe.

"Here's the folder you're looking for. I'm going to the factory right now "I said something, but he just stared at me. I approached him and clapped my hands to bring him back to reality.

"Thank you very much. You're free to leave now "He said something awkwardly and coughed several times.

I walked out of his office and nearly collided with someone's chest. When I looked up, he was smiling at me.

"H-hi," I gave him an awkward greeting and was about to walk away when he dragged me to a wall and pinned me. His eyes are lustful and obsessed.

In a terrifying tone, he said, "I finally got you, Selena." I tried to escape, but he was far too strong for me.

He grabs my hands and tries to drag me somewhere, but I manage to get my hands away from him.

"Let me go!"

He didn't listen and punched me in the stomach, knocking me out cold in no time. He was able to lift me and transport me to a location that I was unfamiliar with.
