DAX’S POV

We walked out of the house, our hands still held together and right after we both crossed the street to head over to my house where my car waited for me, Simon showed up and held his hand out for the car key.

“I should drive you to work” he offered but I shook my head and went around him along with Ruby who greeted him and he responded with a good morning greeting too.

“You don’t have to worry about that, Simon. I’ll drive myself to work today so you can spend time with Clarissa if you want. She’s getting ready to leave for the cafe” I replied before sending him a coy smile and he looked away for a moment, probably to get himself back in his default serious mode before he looked at me once again.

“Fine then. Just be careful while driving” he said and I scoffed while opening the passenger door for Ruby to get into the car.
