CHAPTER 63

DAX’S POV

Ruby was glowing. She looked impossibly beautiful as I stared at her from the front of my house and she stared back at me with curious eyes that raked over me from head to toe. It was obvious that she liked how I looked and at that moment, I had an idea and I guessed it wouldn’t hurt to ask her.

So I made my way across the road to meet her where she still stood and I watched as shock crossed her face briefly before it disappeared and she kept a blank face while she waited for me.

I climbed up her porch and stood before her, my mug of morning coffee still in my hand while I smiled at her and I watched her pupils suddenly dilate as she looked up at me with doe eyes that did unspeakable to me on the inside.

Her stare suddenly awakened memories from the previous night at the club. It was a crazy experience for the two of us but also one of the best I had spent with her ever since I moved to Denmark to get back.
