RUBY’S POV

I lied to Dax. I wasn’t wondering why he was suddenly taking me along with him to work when he didn’t even do that during the two years that we dated. Of course, I was curious but not that curious because I didn't want to care too much about something that wasn’t going to last anyway.

I was thinking about the deal I made with Dennis because like he said, I had to get Dax’s trust and I was succeeding which was why he was making me tag along with him to work just because he wanted to spend time with me. That meant Dax trusted me now.

That also meant I was going to have access to many other projects and contracts of his that Dennis could snatch away from him and make his company run dry in no time.
