RUBY’S POV

“We both know you aren't here to greet a friend because none of us on this table are friends of yours. So just walk away, Dennis” Dax snapped at Dennis who was still smiling like he enjoyed seeing Dax get so disturbed by his presence and my heartbeat accelerated as fear coated the whole of me.

“Now, don't be so sure about that, Dax. Don't assume you know everything” Dennis told him while taking one of the canapes served on the table and popping it into his mouth while tucking his other hand into the pocket of his suit.

“If you think you'll succeed in planting baseless ideas in my head tonight, then you've failed woefully, Dennis. You're also interrupting our view of the stage from here so get fuck out of here before I have you thrown out” Dax warned him and Dennis rolled his eyes before he looked at me.
