RUBY’S POV

“Come on, let's head back. I'm suddenly not in the mood for a walk anymore” I told him as I held my hand out for his and he gave me his hand then I wrapped my around one of his fingers before he stood up and towered over me.

With that, we grabbed our cups of coffee and began to walk back to his mansion. My heart was thundering hard, I felt like I was soon going to pass out and it was getting harder to keep a blank face and act oblivious to what just happened to him and his company.

I took a peek at Dax as we walked in silence and he looked like he was in a state of turmoil. Like he was struggling with himself from within and I wondered how much he must have lost just from losing this partnership to a rival company.

It wasn't going down well for his company shares and he would have to hold a meeting with his shareholders to answer their questions and explain how he let such a huge partnership slip through his fingers.
