RUBY’S POV

I added the last touch to my makeup before my eyes met Clarissa’s through the mirror in my room and she watched me with adoration on her face.

I couldn't help but smile to myself as I returned my brush to my purse then I wore my jewelry before I turned around to face her and she gave me a thumbs up with a wide smile.

“You look great. Superb” she praised while clapping out loud and I laughed.

“Thank you for the compliment but you'd better return to the hospital and stay with Sally. I'm sure she's waiting for you” I told her and she stood up from the bed after grabbing her phone from the bedside stand.

“Just calm your nerves and I'm sure everything will be fine tonight, okay?” Clarissa told me, her hands placed on my shoulders to give me support when she noticed I was beginning to get lost in my thoughts again and I nodded while forcing a smile.
