CHAPTER 92

DAX'S POV

“Are you sure this is going to work, Dax? I think quitting wanting to see Magenta just to be faithful to Ruby is going to make work in that club harder for her. Her manager is certainly not going to like her anymore” Simon said to me as he drove us back to the house and I chuckled while looking out the car window.

“That's what you think but Ruby wouldn't have to work there anymore by the time I'm done with what I have in mind” I told him and I turned to the rearview mirror.

Our eyes met and he furrowed his eyebrows questioningly but I only widened my smile along with a shrug before I picked up my phone and texted someone just to be sure that my plan was perfect.

I couldn't wait for the next day to arrive because apart from the fact that I was now back with Ruby, I planned to make things better for her. She wouldn't have to dance for sleazy and creepy men anymore in that club with a mask to hide her face.

Instead, she was now going to own a job that she would go to
