RUBY’S POV

The phone rang three good times before Dennis picked up on the fourth ring and I almost cursed him out when he said hello to me.

“Were you thinking about talking to me or not since you've gotten what you've wanted?” I snapped at him and I heard him chuckle over the phone.

“There's nothing funny about what I just said so you'd better quit laughing right now” I snapped again as he stopped laughing immediately before the seriousness returned to the conversation and I cleared my throat before I'd start speaking.

“Since I did as you wanted and I got you what you've desperately always dreamt about, it's time for you to help me too” I went straight to the point without beating about any bush because there was no time for that.
