RUBY’S POV

Dax pulled me in for a hug to comfort me and I succumbed to his hold, letting my forehead pressed against his chest while he patted me on the back to stop me from crying all over again.

Thanks to Simon, we arrived at the hospital in no time and I ran to the reception where a nurse stood behind the counter.

I asked for Clarissa Tovaro since she was Sally’s guardian and I was directed to the second floor.

Without glancing back to see if Dax and Simon were following, I rushed up the stairs because I didn't have the patience to wait for the elevator and soon, I was on the second floor.

I began to check all the rooms I walked past and after walking out of the second room, I saw Clarissa sitting on one of the benches in the passage and I rushed toward her.

“Clarissa, is she okay? Please tell me she's fine” I said as I knelt before her and she looked up at me with fearful eyes. She smiled in relief immediately after our eyes met and she pulled me into a hug.
