That Is Not What It Looks Like

Phoebe's POV:

It was hard enough to escape the men tailing us, but fortunately, we managed to slip away.

However, finding the hideout proved to be more difficult. Anthony kept leading us to God knows where.

Fortunately, we eventually found the hideout—a small apartment located in an isolated place.

It was kind of cute. We scanned the place to see if we were being followed.

There was nothing to be alarmed about.

As we peeked through the windows, no one seemed to be around.

I wondered if it was the right place.

"Are you sure this is the place?"

"Yes, I believe so," I could sense his doubts in his tone.

Clearly, he wasn’t sure either.

Suddenly, the door opened, and Chang's head popped out.

"Chang."

"Phoebe."

He smiled at me.

"Come on in," he invited us.

He grabbed a seat for me and ignored Anthony, who chuckled.

"You are bleeding," he noticed the little cut on my forehead.

"It's nothing I can't handle."

"No, I must treat it."
