CHAPTER 10

As they searched through the camp, Emiliana and Jace's determination grew stronger with every passing moment. They were determined to find any evidence that would help them bring the corrupt camp director to justice.

As they entered one of the cabins, Emiliana noticed something strange. The bed was unmade, and there were clothes strewn across the floor. "Jace, look at this," she said, pointing at the mess.

Jace approached and examined the room. "It looks like someone left in a hurry," he said, picking up a shirt from the floor. "Maybe they knew we were coming."

Emiliana felt a chill run down her spine. "Do you think they're still here?"

Jace shook his head. "I don't know, but we need to be careful."

They continued their search, moving from cabin to cabin. As they entered one of the larger buildings, Emiliana heard a noise coming from upstairs. "Did you hear that?" she whispered to Jace.

He nodded, his hand going to his pocket. "I'll call the police. Stay here."
