CHAPTER 13

Emiliana took a deep breath and sat down on the couch, feeling drained from the stress and fear of the past few days. Jace sat down beside her, his hand on her shoulder, offering comfort.

As they waited for the police to report back, they talked about their options. It was clear that the camp director was not going to stop until he got what he wanted. Emiliana knew that she had to be proactive in protecting herself and her loved ones.

"We need to install some security cameras around the apartment," Emiliana said, looking at Jace. "Just in case he tries to come here."

Jace nodded in agreement. "I'll take care of it. And we should also look into getting a restraining order against him."

Emiliana felt a small sense of relief knowing that they were taking steps to protect themselves. But at the same time, she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of her stomach. She knew that they were still in danger.
