Chapter Forty-Three

I was scared when the door gave way with a loud bang. Kieran never said anything about visitors; if it were to be a visitor, he would knock and not break down the door to gain entrance.

I screamed my head off as the intruder ran past me and grabbed Kieran in a twinkle of an eye.

He had pretty damn good reflexes, and he sure knew how to take his opponent unawares. He was about to land blows on Kieran when it dawned on me who the intruder was; his physique was unmistakable. With the look on his face, I knew he would kill Kieran this instant without batting an eye if I let him. I called out his name.

"Mace!" I yelled, still in disbelief that he was the intruder. I must be dreaming, I kept on thinking.

What are you doing? I was a little confused at the whole scenario; no one had an idea of where I was; I hadn't even glanced at my phone since I got here yesterday; and of all people to find me, what was this bastard doing here?
