CHAPTER 70 DEFENDING HIM

Aiva's POV

I left home for work after leaving my brother with the new nanny hired for him. He's going to be okay so I'm fine with it. After arguing with Leo like that, I couldn't stop thinking about him all day. Of course, I missed him a lot and it drove me crazy that I couldn't see him at all.

I didn't go check on him at the office and only sent someone else to check on him. He also didn't come to see me even though he was at work. I still don't want to see him even with how I felt because of what he did.

"Aiva!" One of my coworkers called me and I turned abruptly.

"What is it?" I asked in a low voice.

"Someone is here to see you."

"Who might that be?" I got curious.

"It's me." I heard a familiar voice and saw Simon, Lucas's older brother and beta coming close to us.

"Simon?" I asked in surprise, what's he doing here at my workplace and at a time like this. What exactly does he want from me and why is he doing this?

"Do you not know him Aiva? Do you need me to send him away?"
