haunting

I opened my eyes and the room was still covered in darkness. I tousled and turned but I couldn't go back to sleep.

I sat up and reached for the curtain, before my fingers could touch them Gabriel startled me with his greeting.

“Good morning."

I trembled and he laughed.

I picked my pillow and slapped him on his face with it.

“Don't ever try that again, I thought a serial killer was in here with me."

“I see you woke up on the right side of the bed."

I hissed at him and he laughed.

“How long have you been awake?."

“I didn't sleep."

“Why?." I asked turning to face him, my eyes had adjusted to the darkness.

“Nothing." He said with a lazy smile.

I took my pillow from where I was and raised it in the air threateningly.

He couldn't stop laughing.

I hit him with the pillow countless times and he would not stop laughing.

“Why does this do nothing to you?."
