Chapter 39

Maddox's POV

Addison and I got situated in the backseat with our mate in my arms While Xander drives us home.

Both vehicles speeding out of their territory as fast as we could. As we are leaving we could hear several howls in the distance.

I know one of those howels must be Eric's son Mike. He wasn't in the pack house when we were there this time.

And the fact that there's only nine of us total, we definitely can't afford to hang around.

"Xander, call my brother and ask him if he can meet us back at the pack to heal him."

I said to Xander as I looked down at our mate in my arms.

I slightly adjust him so that he's resting against me at a better angle and he groans. My heart breaks looking at his poor body. I bring a shaky hand up to his face, gently brushing his hair back away from his face.
