Chapter 5 – A lot has happened

Jack’s PoV

A few years have already passed since I met Jacob, now I’m already 16. Still disguised as a boy and attending school during the morning as if I was a normal human being but it wasn’t that simple, during this time a lot of things have happened.

Ever since I met Jacob, I found out there are still people from the Full Moon Pack who have survived and Jacob is trying to find them and bring them together, and with that as their goal, they have travelled around the place, carrying out different missions which varied in difficulty from simple undercover jobs to being a bodyguard or assassin. And as their fame builds up, the more eyes began to look at them and it was due to this that I met them on that day in the forest (Jacob, Leo, Tom, Alfie, and James). And who knew these people are also the same people that I would later come to be close allies with.

And ever since I have joined them, our reputation spread even faster, and not just theirs, I even heard I was nicknamed the Blood Knight Warrior due to my quick and decisive kill without a second of hesitation, a being that can easily hide themselves including their own emotions.

And as our group became larger, me and Jacob decided to build a base, a safe house for not just us but the people who decided to join us as well, but alongside building a base, more responsibilities fall upon us as I stretched out my body whilst looking at all the finished paperwork stacked in front of my desk.

“Finally, I’m done” I said as I stood up from my position and walked down and out of our safe house that lies at an open space within the forest, a place that was peaceful and far away from the bustling cities etc. It could be said that it is in the middle of nowhere.

As I walked out onto the clear green Plainfield, I took in a deep breath, enjoying the nature surrounding me before walking towards the large oak tree that I usually sit underneath of.

As I reached there, I laid down my body onto the fresh green grass and looked up into the bright sunny day as I see the clouds slowly travelling through the light blue sky.

I closed my eyes wanting to take a little nap until I detected someone slowly creeping up towards me and hearing their sweet voice made me open my eyes once again, “boo!” She said trying to scare me whilst I pretended, she did, “oh my, you scared me!” I said which made her pout, “stop pretending, your no fun” she said whilst I laughed forgetting that ever since I saved her with my healing powers, she began to develop a special bond with me where she can tell what I’m feeling, thinking and so on.

“So, Lilia how did you know I was here?” I asked, whilst she stopped her pouting and looked back at me, “of course I know, whenever you are in a bad mood or feeling tired and wanted to rest your mind, you would always come here” whilst I smiled, “well, you know me too well” I said as she began sitting next to me as I patted her head, “hey stop doing that, I can’t grow if you keep this up” she said whilst I couldn’t help and hug her, not believing how adorable she is.

Even though we are not related by blood, she is like a little sister to me, she was also the daughter of the Full Moon Pack’s alpha and Luna who took me in. And ever since I met her for the first time once again, she was with Jacob but critically injured and was in a coma, and luckily for my healing powers, I was able to heal her consciousness, but due to this ability, it may have resonated with Lilia causing her to be linked to me and not just that she is always glued to me which made me glad, I mean I have already lost a sister, I would not want to lose another one. I have vowed that day that I would protect Lilia to the best of my abilities.

“Okay, stop it, I can’t breathe anymore” Lilia said within my embrace whilst I apologetically retreated looking at the little girl who has now grown up and is currently a cute 9-year-old child that I adore so much right now.

“Oh yes, I forgot to tell you. Jacob wanted me to call you in, there is a meeting happening” she said whilst I sighed, I guess I won’t be able to rest today whilst looking at Lilia and nodded with a smile, “okay, I’m going.”

With that me and Lilia began to make our way back to the conference room, everyone within the room have sat down, Lilia sat outside whilst I walked into the meeting room, walking to the very front seat facing a projector screen which then switches on an audio stream.

Knowing that the wolf society have now produced a new mission to ask for our help.

And everyone in that meeting room including myself were listening closely to the audio screen as the mysterious person from the other side of the screen began to speak, “hello boys, I have a special mission for you all to carry out, there is a pack I want you all to protect and especially their alpha that is coming back in a few days, I need a few of your members attending the wolf academy in order to protect the alpha and I would need a few members to go and train their men...”

As the meeting went all, we were given with all the materials and details of the distinct roles we would take part. And after everyone was familiar with their new identities, we discussed who would attend what and as expected, since I was the youngest of the bunch, I had to attend the academy once again alongside Alfie and James.

With everyone being allocated of their work, we made sure everyone within the base were safe and protected, ensuring all measures were taken before we began to prepare for everything and set off on the road trip.

But before I could reach my room, I felt a presence behind who held tightly onto the sleepovers of my clothes not allowing me to take another step forward.

Without turning around, I knew who was standing behind me but nevertheless I signalled the boys to leave and get prepared first whilst I turned around to face Lilia.

I bent down on my knees and looked into her eyes, “It would only be a few weeks, I would come back as soon as possible, don't worry, you could always phone me, or face time me.”

But despite what I said, Lilia didn’t want to let go, but after a while of me hugging her, she soon loosened her grip and nodded her head, “be safe and come home soon.”

She said in her small voice which is a sign that she is holding back her voice, so I won't notice she is on the verge of crying.

I hugged her even more, not wanting to let her go but I knew I couldn’t take her with me, who knows whether there is any danger there, here would be a safer place for her. With that I didn’t just comfort her but also comforted myself that this was for the best before I whispered into her ears, “if anything happens, mind link me, and I'll be here.” Lilia nodded and not long later, me and the boys packed everything and was about to leave whilst I see everyone at the base see us of, including Lilia who acted bravely and confidently waved us goodbye.

~6 hours later~

Finally, after that journey, we have arrived at the wolf academy.

Thinking back, I made a good decision to not sit in the car with the others and have decided to bring my motorbike with me as I breezed through the cool fresh air and had a wonderful view of all the surroundings before entering the Academy grounds.

And as we arrived, we were welcomed by the principle of the academy who gave us a tour which took longer than I had expected.

It took a total of 1 hour to see the whole place and luckily for us, they brought us to our accommodations at the start, so we were able to put everything away before walking so everything went alright. But who knew the academy was this big as it took us 1 full hour, furthermore, we haven’t even investigated the classroom that we would be studying in.?

But by the time that we have completed the full tour of the whole academy including their buildings and classrooms, we were then taken to the Blood Moon Pack where we greeted the alpha and Luna as it was part of their territory we are entering.

And despite this being a mission from the wolf society, only a few people know about the existence of us assassins, even our client usually doesn’t know who our real identity is.

However, before we arrived at the academy, we were informed by the wolf society that both the current alpha and Luna knows about us being assassins as they were the first one to seek us out and ask for our help. However, the soon to be alpha doesn't know of our identity, so we still must keep it quiet from the soon to be alpha, his pack and the academy.

By the time we finished greeting them and having some tea, we all separated with Tom, Leo and Jacob who would be staying at the blood moon pack house to have easier access and be more able to protect their pack and to train their members.

On the other hand, me, Alfie, and James had to go back to the academy dorms to ensure the soon to be alpha that would arrive in a few days is protected.

So as the day was getting darker, we all decided to go back to our separate rooms and call it a day before welcoming the agonising days that would come by tomorrow and for the next 2 years or so of college.

Me being part wolf makes me want to do something more fun other than school, but the law we wolves must abide says we have to finish college and those who want to pursue a higher degree would have to go to university or else they would have to work in their relevant pack.

Luckily, I don't want to pursue some academic degrees, I just want to protect the people I love but also to avenge my parents.

Furthermore, if I think about it, there was no need for me to get a degree for example if I want to be a doctor, there is no need for me to learn more since I have healing powers so why would I need to learn more right?

As I kept on thinking about random things whilst laying on the bed, my mind slowly drifts away, and I fallen deep asleep awaiting to welcome the light of the next day.
