"This way." Miles motioned me to follow him, so I did.

We kept going in and into the woods. I didn't know where he was heading.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Did you not notice the drops of blood on the ground?" he said.

I looked at him with surprise. "What blood?" I asked.

"Not very observant, are you?" Miles smirked.

"Look over there," he said and pointed toward the ground.

I looked and saw what he was talking about. I couldn't believe I didn't notice before, but tiny splatters of blood were on the leaves and along the path, leaving a trail.

"I had no idea. How did you see that?" I was amazed.

"Well...unlike you, when we got to this spot, I looked at the ground closely, and I saw the blood," Miles said dryly.
