"You...were poisoned," I said in a shaky breath, my throat going dry. The revelation of his words hit me so hard. All this while, I thought Bas chose to ignore my cries and let Ravi die, but all along, he was trapped and couldn't save me.

My heart broke at the thought of the pain he was going through, how much he must have fought, how much he blamed himself for not being able to help me.
