If there was damnation mine would be Leah’s indifference. I would have taken hate, I could have taken poison and drunk it like coffee but indifference. I would rather die. Except for the breaking down at the restaurant, there was none. A calm mask, her dark brown eyes hollow. No emotions.

If that was not enough, she was acting like our marriage was fake. How can I accept her calling this marriage fake when I did everything for this marriage? A ten-year of hell just for her to call this marriage fake. Then again, she was not at fault.

I glanced at the closed white door. After my outburst, she quietly shoved me away.

“Where is my room? If there is not, please call a taxi and I will return to my house.” In fear, I showed her the master bedroom.

Now here I am sitting in my office across from our bedroom where my wife is spending our wedding night. Alone. Instead of my arms.
