Kiara pov

Now my heart was racing inside of my chest like a drum when I noticed that he was the one holding on to me and he had been doing so for the past several minutes.

I tried to jump away from him but he held me even tighter without hurting me. It felt like having a weighted blanket over my body. It was quite relaxing especially when thunder and lightning had been rolling out mercilessly from my window and I thought I was going to lose my mind at some point.

I didn't want to seem ungrateful so with a flushed face I was left with no other choice than to thank him for going out of his way like that.

He asked me if I was alright and I nodded, then after scanning me for a long contemplative moment he finally gradually let go of me as he was doing so he asked me if I was scared of thunder even though I was embarrassed I admitted that I was not only a scared of thunder but also lightning as well ever since I was a child both easily made me shiver from the crown of my head to the tip
