Kiara's POV

The internal reminder that I had to explain exactly why I was returning so early from work to Bryant's fiance and his grandmother made my stomach twist into knots I'm sure that I would probably get slapped once or twice before I would even get a chance to explain myself and I trembled and crumpled to the floor of the elevator but when I realize that some people were about to step in I quickly straightened myself up standing up wiping my tears with the back of my hand and then even trying to put on a small friendly smile as they all came ushering in I couldn't just fall apart in public like that.

I think almost over there myself because nobody would have even guessed that I was going through all of this mess during the elevator ride my mind was filling me with different ideas of what could happen to me when I went back to that place I had already given up on the job and I was planning to tell them that maybe there was a way I could spend time with him as I did before instea
