Calix’s POV

I promise to her that I won’t take away the kids if she would just marry me and she agreed on that. We were talking about the conditions in the living room. The kids were busy playing in their garden.

“So, should I act as your lawful wife right in front of your family?” She questioned me after we signed the conditions.

I nodded my head. “I think yes,” I answered. “Since the kids are smart enough to notice that we are not really in a relationship.” I added.

She parted her lips and nodded her head. “Oh, alright.”

I just eyed her. “And oh, by the way,” I said and paused.

“What?”

“We should share the same bed right after we get back in New York,” I blurted and smirk.

“Yes. Since my family won’t believe that we are in love with each other.”
