Chapter 1

♤ Ven♤

"Ven for Venus, princess?"

"Ven for Venom."

My eyes sparkled with the hue of light purple when the human was looking at me in confusion. But not for more. I smirked while noticing he choked on air. His breathing stopped. The Colour of poisons started to creep from his toe. It didn't take a minute to turn his body blue.

He was here to steal poisons. I granted his wish. I let him die with the most cherished thing of his life for which he dared to enter my territory. Not any ordinary could, those who wanted needed to kill a child as a sacrifice. He wanted an innocent life because of his greed.

Poisons.

My life, my love, my cure, my soul and my curse. Instead of blood, my body contains venomous liquids. Any creature can die in a second if any drop of them touches those. But that can never be my death. Because I'm a human and humans die once.

I was walking on the soft soil leaving that lifeless body behind. That body belonged to earth where it would get mixed little by little. I was walking along the row of Manchineels. I loved the deadly scent as it used to soothe my anger. They always reminded me of myself. They looked so innocent yet they were deadly, like the natural reflection of mine. The white milk dripped from their fruit was so sweet.

This was the deepest part of the A****n where no sunlight could enter, let alone any people. And if anyone dared to come here to use my poisons for evil intention, for sure it would be the end of him. Because it was my responsibility to save the dark forest. It was my home, my abode, my kingdom where only poisons exist. Closing my purple eyes, I called the air.

Air.

The only element I could control. I controlled it not to harm innocents by my breath. It restricted my toxicity to mix with anything. It prevented my breath from moving from here to there.

Slowly, my deadly purple eyes turned into amber, like an ordinary human. No one could imagine my reality beneath the olive hoodie and light camel skin tight jeans. Like they were unaware of those poisons under my ivory skin. Now I was like an innocent harmless girl, who was unaware of the evil world.

It was almost dawn. I could tell the first ray of sunlight would kiss the sea within a few moments. Within a blink, I reached the human world which was never suitable for a not so human like me. On the beach, it was still calm and quiet. The moment a light wave of water touched my bare feet, my lips curved with a devilish smirk. That dead body got buried under the earth, that useless fellow lost his existence forever.

"You love killing people, right? Don't fall in love with your target."

A mocking voice burst out laughing all of a sudden. Instantly I knew it was him.

"Love is not my cup of tea. I never go back after taking steps." I turned my head to look at him. Here he was standing with an amusing look on his face while wiping his forehead with a handkerchief. I didn't know his real identity,  for sure he was no human, nor God . But he was someone who could help me to get rid of my cursed life.

"Don't you love the power of controlling lives? Why do you want to get rid of that? I found the devil inside you feels ecstatic while ending someone's life."

I didn't know myself! I was tired, tired of being Venom. Maybe I was no one ordinary, but still, I was a human. The human instinct inside me wanted to live a carefree life. Not a life of responsibilities and curses. I wanted blood in my body, not poisons.

"I have one question for you. Why him? And why me? Why do you want me to kill him?" The question was always in my mind. But I never asked. I couldn't hold back anymore. Something inside him was really suspicious, mysterious.

"Why? Are you afraid of falling for him?" He curved his right eyebrow which made him look more mischievous. A glint of the devil was prominent through his delicate blue eyes.

Falling for him, my foot!

"Or did you change your mind about getting rid of the curse? Don't you want a life as a real human?" He mused.

"How are you so sure you can help me?"

"No one helps. You need to decide your path. Once you start walking, you will find someone to hold your hands, to guide you to the light."

"Are you the one to hold my hand?" I asked curiously. He was someone to meet me every time I end a life. He was the one to meet me only at this place. He liked to call himself a guest in my life. He was neither a friend nor an enemy. He was just a stranger, who didn't know me, still knew almost everything.

I noticed his smile in arrogance, "We don't walk on the same path."

"Then why should I believe you when you can't help me? Should I kill you if you are of no use?"

He didn't reply. Shaking his head with an impish look, he started walking in the opposite direction, away from me. Each footprint he left on the sand soon faded away as the wave touched. That's how he was. Every time left me on the edge of curiosity never answering my questions properly.

I was about to go after him. All of a sudden, someone in a bloody state wearing a ragged dress bumped into him. But that man didn't stop running, though he was already laying on the ground, he was desperate to run away. I noticed my guest didn't bother to spare a glance. He was walking away with the usual emotionless indifferent look on his face not caring about the rest of the world.

Without any warning, that miserable man was trapped by the earth. As if the ground held him tightly not to let him move. Amusing enough, it was not any dark magic. It was the element earth itself. Maybe after a few minutes, a deadly handsome man with Samson physique stopped in front of him. The devil-may-care look on his face could make the whole universe scared. As if I was bewitched, I couldn't take my eyes off him.

That foolish lying-on-ground fellow tried to get up. But he was only getting trapped more and more. As if the earth was betraying him, dragging him in the reach of the demon. That scene caught my interest. I could sense he was a Lycan king. Still, his powers were beyond imagination.

I watched an invisible dagger pop up in his firm clenched wrist that was fated to stab on the polluted heart. The weapon was nothing ordinary. Upholding some hell-sent dominance, I looked like a witness of many sordid escapades. The moment it pierced that scarred body, earth loosened its grip.

Foolish fellow!

He started to get up and run away from the dead spot. Little did he know he could never escape!

Soon enough, three people surrounded the majestic Lycan like guards. I heard the most charming one ask, "Alpha! Why did you leave that rogue?"

I heard him laugh like a maniac. His deep magnetic voice echoed on the sea shore, making the sky turn in a darker shade, erasing the trace of light.

"His skin will start to get rotten from the scar. His whole body will become putrid each day. He will feel unbearable heat in your whole body. What's the fun in death? When he was fated to die in my hands, he would die getting announced as a shameful betrayer."

His words made those people gasp. But it felt so soothing to me.

Shit! His attitude!

It's hard to not fall for his fucking deadly aura. He was a freaking death god! I must admit I could find another reflection of me inside him. He was merciless.

"Got your attention already? Not his fault. That awe-fucking-some attitude is worth fascination."

I arched an eyebrow with the sudden appearance. My not-so-wanted guest popped up from nowhere once again. His whispering words made me frown.

Why was I asked to kill him? And what was the meaning of falling for him? I didn't know.

Before I could even ask, he pushed me with a mischievous smirk on his face. The moment I bumped on a hard surface, he just vanished with a wink.

"Where were you watching, dumb woman? Why can't you keep your eyes and body just on yourself?"

The moment I tilted my head, my mouth went wide in surprise. A murderous aura was flickering from those protruding turning-into-ashes slaty gray eyes, disgust written all over the face as if it was a sin to touch him accidentally! Beneath his dark orbs, there was only a beast growling. His pupils delighted as if that beast underneath the human body was calling me.

"Leave me, you filthy human!" He roared, feeling unprepared for his own reaction to make me grit my teeth.

Arrogant jerk!

I left my grip on him anyway. His eyes turned emotionless. It changed colours instantly in a sky-crystal blue shade as he observed me from head to toe. He was observing as if I was moulded from a different universe. His curious gaze started to get on my nerves.

Arghh! Should I kill him right now? But I couldn't. Firstly, there were more creepy shitz than him. Hurting them without any reason was out of my ethics. And secondly, I didn't have any fault against him. I could kill anyone right then and there but I needed to pay for everything I do wrong. Maybe because I was not a Goddess, merely a human, cursed one.

"Alpha, that human watched everything. What should we do with her?" one of his guards pointed at me. I laughed inwardly. Did he want to sort out my issues? Well, I wanted to see what they could do to me.

"Kill her. She's a useless human anyway."
