Chapter 2

♤Ven♤

"Kill her."

My delicate eyebrows arched automatically when those words fanned my ears. He might be a Herculean head-hearted Alpha, spreading fear with his barbarous and sadistic deeds, might the whole human and magical world kneel just at the moment after knowing him, might the sun hide behind the dark clouds to get rid of his aura.

Not me.

I got distracted by his devastating halo, maybe because it seemed familiar. That didn't mean my guest was right. I never fell for this arrogant jerk. He was my opponent and a battle was never fun if it didn't shed blood. He was useful to me because I could remove the curse of immortality from my life and I would use him in the right way….killing him bang on time.

"Take that woman with us." I heard a smoky voice from one of his guards. Maybe he was the beta, at least his robust physique said that. Muscles toned beyond expectation, hard firm body and his hotter than hell attitude….he looked like a Greek God, well not more than that rude King.

The other two came towards me with such an attitude of killing me right then and there. Or they could make me their slave only with one word.

As if!

The moment their hands just brushed my skin, I felt they flinched, maybe it was the effect of those deadly poisons that made them feel a spark of electricity. Hats off to those powerless wolves, they were going to feel numb for at least two days.

Confusion suddenly peeked into my mind. Who knows what happened, those two pieces of jerk didn't feel anything injurious. One was my not-so-wanted guest, the other one was that freak, Beelzebub Lycan. Must they have some powers not worth imagination, either they could be God or the devil? The first option was full of doubt though.

I was deeply immersed in thoughts while they tried to touch me once again. I dodged that somehow not to make those demon parties feel suspicious. Rolling my eyes at them, I spared them a not so real bright smile lazily, "I will go by myself."

The Wolf King was my prey. Since he didn't flinch while touching me, he must not be that easy to kill. I needed to know the way of killing him. And more importantly, I needed to know what was so devil inside him that could free me from my demon-like hazardous life of poison.

The rest of them were looking at me with curiosity though they started walking. Feeling an urge to take their eyes off themselves, I didn't waste a moment to follow them. Soon enough we got into the car. I knew there was some magic, it didn't take even a little time to reach there.

Maybe that's how I entered another magical world. It was not as dark as my world, yet I could sense blood and betrayal all over. The packhouse had a large garden. I knew it was coming, the flowers started to die with each step I took. I needed to have some talk with air, it was not doing its job well.

The house was spacious and classy. That’s what they said it was a freaking royal castle. But it didn't have the smell of poison like my home.

Damn! My Manchineels would miss me to death!

"Now tell me how do you want to die?" A girl came towards me with a smirk of victory. The arrogant king was still observing me, "We don't touch a woman, in our pack, a woman kills a woman."

"I thought you believed in gender equality." I was amused by these kinds of thoughts. I wondered if that stinky fool has been living for thousands of years? It's the twenty-first-century dude!

His ferocious eyes fell on me, as I was habituated to his don't-challenge-me look, I gave him a damn with the skin of my teeth.

"Should I be grateful for this fucking rules? At least I got to live for a few hours more."

After wasting so much time on me, he didn't even understand, he was on a wild goose chase.

"You woman! You are playing with fire!!!" He shouted through gritted teeth.

And you are playing with poison!

"Kill her. I want results, Kill her in the worst way you know." His eyes were still on mine but that order was for the badass yet not worth the candle girl who almost tried to attack me out of the blue.

Too bad!

I straight looked into her eyes. I needed to hypnotise her, I needed to stop her from taking such a foolish step. If she touched me, she would feel the same spark as those useless wolves duo. She would go numb for days. Two of them were okay but leaving too much proves was not a good thing.

I knew she was spelt. She stood there frozen. The smug king already headed to his room. Too confident on his pack members! Not the thing I accepted. I heard a gasping sound from the surroundings.

Fuck!

I needed to hypnotise so many people. Fuck to the meanie Alpha, he made me waste those precious times of mine. Arghh! I should have tried to kill him, at least made him suffer. Was I going soft on him?

Anyway, I made all of the witnesses forget about my little secret and within no moments that kick-ass girl showed me the way to the torture room like a dumb and deaf puppet. The thing was not so bad though. I was getting some unwanted rib-tickling entertainment.

Following her, I was walking through the hallway of the second basement. Must be the room was secretive, they had to kill people without leaving any trace or else it would scare the pack. But what I didn't expect to see was an orderly looking at me, hands folded on his chest standing as an immovable mountain, protective as hell.

"Young woman, how could you hypnotise the whole pack and the Alpha didn't get to know about it? Who are you?"

His voice was deep, yet tired. Maybe tiredness meant the weight of his age. He seemed like the former Alpha, that's what my instinct said. But he was nothing like that destruction lover king, their aimed look didn't smell the same. That young smug king seemed much more capable than him.

Crap! The old wolf was not hypnotised! This book-like pack had a mystery on every page. I couldn't judge it by the cover.

"What do you think?" I played along.

"You are a human. But something more than that." He seemed confused. I took the chance to hypnotise him by putting in a little more effort. Maybe it became a little too much for him that his adamant figure fell on the floor, lying there with unsteady breath.

The moment I reached the torture room, I freed everyone from my spell. Raising an eyebrow, I was interested to know how good my to be killer felt. She was hypnotised for the longest time. I bet that felt good except feeling some burning sensation throughout that curvy body, feeling restless under the skin.

"I...took you here?" She looked around and asked in a shaky unsure voice. I could only nod trying to suppress my laughter.

"I must say girl, you have guts. You provoked our Alpha. But I'm sorry, he asked me to give you a less painful death. Should I cut your head down off your shoulder? Mmm… maybe, that's what he asked for." She raised an eyebrow.

"I thought he said the worst way, huh?"

"Maybe he was angry with you but you didn't hurt the pack. We have some rules."

Trying to play fair, seriously?

"Don't put all the eggs in one basket." The right side of my lips curved into a smirk. She still didn't understand. Wolves are late learners, I guess.

Maybe my reply made her laugh. No way she could think of me as a strong opponent. She took a finely sharp sword, beautifully designed with the pack logo on the antic surface. She raised the weapon to pierce my head.

But not for more.

"Arghh!!" Instantly she was sitting on the ground trying to control her own body. The sword was long forgotten. The problem is everything about me contains poison, even if I hypnotise someone, it sends poisons into his body. Maybe because of being a shifter wolf, it took a certain time more to affect her.

Poor girl! The toxicity went to her veins for a long time.

"What's happening?" She was looking at me with horror.

As if I am telling you!

I squatted in front of her. I put my finger on her chin to make her look at me. Surely that side of her skin would show burnt after some time but who cares!

"Why can I smell slight ricin on you? Did you try to poison someone?" I was curious. After all, that's the real reason I took her here, we needed to have a nice chat in private.

Her face fell drastically. I knew I was never wrong. She was a betrayer of the pack. The devil knows how much I wanted to kill her with more dangerous poisons. But meddling into others' affairs was never my habit.

"Does your mighty Alpha know that?" I couldn't help but ask. She jerked her face away from me. Trying to pick up the sword, she was about to hurt me. I wouldn't mind if she wanted some drop of poison on her own dripping from my skin. I have a lot anyway.

But before she could take any step, a loud commanding voice burst into the room.

"Stop!!"

I knew the voice belonged to none other than the beta whatever his name was.

That former Alpha was standing there by his side with some guards. His eyes were all on me while the guards gripped that bold but betraying female warrior by a fist of air.

"Torture her with a silver whip. She tried to poison our Beta. Don't kill her until you get satisfied by her screams."

Aish! The former Alpha was dangerous too.

"And you human…." That was for me I guess, "I was not hypnotised."

Fuck!
